Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th and Canada-based real estate company Ivanhoé Cambridge are opening four new stores in Canada.
Each new store will be the first to open in their respective markets, the company said in a release.
Hudson’s Bay Co.’s off-price concept chain will open in four Ivanhoé Cambridge shopping centers: Tsawwassen Mills in British Columbia, Outlet Collection Winnipeg in Winnepeg, Manitoba, Place Ste-Foy in Quebec City and Montreal Eaton Centre in Montreal.
“We are excited that we are able to bring Saks Off 5th to these dynamic Ivanhoé Cambridge properties. We have now announced openings in five provinces across the country, and we look forward to bringing our Off 5th experience to the Canadian consumer,” said Jonathan Greller, president of outlets at HBC, in a release. “As we continue to grow our off-price business, we will announce more new Saks Off 5th locations in major markets across Canada.”
The Tsawwassen Mills store will be the first to open, with a grand opening slated for fall 2016; the Place Ste-Foy and Winnipeg locations will open in spring 2017; and the Montreal Eaton Centre location is expected to open its doors in fall 2018.
“We are very pleased with our growing partnership with HBC, which, among other things, includes the opening of these prestigious stores at four outstanding locations,” Ivanhoé Cambridge President Bill Tresham said in a release. “We are excited to offer our guests a new shopping experience unique to each city. The arrival of these anchor stores will further strengthen the market leadership of these properties.”
The openings are part of Saks Off 5th’s North American expansion plan, which includes opening up to 25 locations across Canada, the company said.
