The brand, developed by partners Vasilios Christofilakos, an assistant professor at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology, and industry veteran Robert Mingione, whose background includes various roles at Kenneth Cole Productions, debuted at retail in fall ’13.
In an exclusive interview in the May 13, 2013, issue of FN, Mingione explained about the decision to enter the competitive men’s footwear arena, “There was a lot of me-too product out there. Men need more of a voice. Our shoes are strong, masculine, but fashionable.”
Included in the current offering are the Dillon ankle boot, retailing at $145, and the Jaime, a double monk strap retailing for $125.
