“My music is very eclectic. It goes from funny, pop dance music to solemn [tunes], from Fiona Apple to Bollywood,” the designer told Spy, who added that Jessie Ware and Mazzy Star are a couple of current favorites. Also on Gurung’s agenda: a few good books.
“I read ‘Good to Great,’ and I just started reading ‘The Alchemist.’ I’m so fascinated by it,” he said.
The designer also reflected on a frenetic year gone by. “It’s been a whirlwind. I go to Paris twice a year, London, Nepal, Singapore and Canada. The mountains I’ve been trekking to, the safari where I saw the tigers,” he said, illustrating his range of travel. Looking ahead, Gurung is also eager to visit Russia. “I’m intrigued by it,” he said.
