Fall Preview: Melissa

Melissa is known for pushing the envelope with footwear that aims to put plastic firmly in fashion territory — and it’s staying the course for fall ’14. Priced at $80 to $200, the Brazilian label’s jellies take on myriad shapes and textures, including casual flocked slippers adorned with cat and beetle motifs, ballet flats and booties in a variety of colors, and dressier looks that offer everything from a pointe shoe-inspired platform to a classic almond-toe pump. Melissa also continues its high-profile collaborations with Karl Lagerfeld, Jason Wu and other designers. The brand is available at retailers including Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue and Shopbop.com.
