Betty Wang is back at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Wang was tapped as VP and DMM of women’s footwear for the retailer, which she originally joined in 2006 as a buyer for designer shoes, working her way up to VP and DMM of accessories for Saks Direct in 2013. Most recently, she served as DMM of apparel and designer boutique at Shopbop.com.
In her new role, Wang will report to Cody Kondo, SVP and GMM of accessories.
“Throughout her career at Saks, Betty served as a strong leader who proved to be a great mentor for numerous associates within the organization,” said Saks’ chief merchant, Jennifer DeWinter. “Through her creativity and partnerships, Betty established outstanding vendor relationships, and she set the example for effective cross-functional collaboration.”
Prior to joining Saks, Wang was at Bloomingdale’s for five years, in various buying and planning roles in the women’s ready-to-wear division. She has a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
