2. Balancing Act
Call them human pretzels. These acrobats truly take their talents to the highest level, twisting and bending their bodies into extraordinary positions. Born and raised in Mongolia, Anna Batchuluun Brown has performed professionally since the age of 9 and currently appears in “O” at Cirque du Soleil Las Vegas. “Being a performer is a hard life physically, but it is an honor to do what I love to do,” she said.
3. Gondola Ride
Ciao, Vegas! Italian gondoliers lead the way on a mini-escape from Sin City, hosting a 14-minute ride down the Venetian Grand Canal. And many are even natives of Venice, Italy. Singing as they sweep along the water, the gondoliers dress the part, donning navy-and-white striped shirts and straw hats with red ribbon.
4. Street Smart
What a collection of characters. Part of the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian is Streetmosphere, a string of animated street performances. The area is brought to life with about 30 acts per day, including everything from musicians to elaborate puppets to life-size flowers and trees.
