Terry de Havilland Rocks London
Terry de Havilland is getting back into retail. The rock ’n’ roll shoe cobbler and designer recently opened a pop-up shop in London. The store, which will remain open through mid-July, is his first since his Kings Road shop, Cobblers to the World, shut its doors in 1979. Over the years, many celebrities have sported his looks, including David Bowie, members of Led Zeppelin, Bianca Jagger and Marianne Faithful. “It’s been over 30 years since I last had a flagship store, and I can’t wait to show off,” de Havilland said in a statement. “I’ve got plenty of surprises up my sleeve, including a small range of designs that are being made right here in London. It’s the start of a whole new chapter for me.”

Alice & Olivia Plots Expansion
Alice & Olivia is headed to China. The brand announced on Wednesday it has entered into a partnership with ImagineX Group to develop the brand in the country and throughout Southeast Asia. Twenty-three points of sale are expected to roll out over the next five years, including a freestanding store in Hong Kong in June. Additional stores are slated for Hong Kong, as well as mainland China, Macau, Taiwan and Singapore. “China is the most exciting area to me right now,” CEO and Creative Director Stacey Bendet said in a statement. “It’s amazing for me to have the opportunity to introduce the world of Alice & Olivia to a culture and woman I have been fascinated by and admired for a long time. It’s like being able to introduce yourself to someone you’ve always wanted to meet.”

Minkoff Preps for Montauk
Rebecca Minkoff is headed back to the shore. On May 30, the designer will reopen her pop-up shop at the Solé East Resort in Montauk, N.Y. The 550-sq.-ft. shop will offer an array of apparel, handbags, footwear, small leather goods and sunglasses. The shop will remain open through Labor Day. “I’m excited to be partnering with the Solé East Resort once again for the summer pop-up shop,” Minkoff said in a statement. “It’s such a natural pairing. Montauk and the Solé East Resort reflect the casual chic attitude of the Minkoff girl.”
