The former designer behind the Taryn Rose comfort footwear line has been named as the spokeswoman for comfort brand Taos.
Rose, who founded her eponymous line in 1998 and stepped down as president in 2008, will endorse Taos at speaking engagements and throughout her travels. (The Taryn Rose brand was sold to Schottenstein Stores Corp. in 2010 and then sold to Authentic Brands Groups in January of this year.)
“Creating this partnership was a no-brainer as there is a strong mutual respect and like-minded approach to product,” Glen Barad, president of Taos, said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to have such a powerful female influencer and inspirational leader endorse Taos. She is a strong example of a real woman experiencing everyday adventures, which is what our brand is all about.”
“I wanted to join Taos footwear on their journey of ‘everyday adventures’ as that mission resonates with my own DNA of being an adventuress,” Rose said in the statement. “Like most women, I am constantly on the go. I don’t have time to worry about my feet hurting or having to change my shoes for an evening event.”
Rose will make an appearance at FN Platform next month as a panelist at the Women in Footwear Industry (WIFI) event on Aug. 20.
