Celebrities are putting their mark on Project Canvas shoes for a good cause.
The Project Canvas collection, which was launched for spring by Vida Shoes International, is hosting an auction featuring custom looks by celebs including brand ambassador Nick Cannon and his wife, Mariah Carey, as well as CeeLo, Swizz Beatz and Ellen DeGeneres.
Artists and select students from New Design High School were also asked to participate in the auction, which will donate all of its proceeds to Urban Arts Partnership, a nonprofit that focuses on art programs and education for youth in the New York area.
The online portion of the auction goes live Thursday at Projectcanvasshoes.com. The brand also hosted an event at the Opera Gallery in New York on Friday, where Carey’s design received a $2,000 bid. Cannon and Carey’s designs were only available at the live auction, while the rest of the designs are for sale online.
