Adidas Group Taps International Execs

The Adidas Group is making changes at its helm.

André Maestrini was named managing director of Adidas Group Spanish Latin America and Alain Pourcelot will step in as managing director of Adidas France, both effective June 1. In their new roles, the executives will report to Roland Auschel, chief sales officer for Adidas’ multichannel markets group.

Prior to the new post, Maestrini was managing director of Adidas France after joining the company in August 2006. Before Adidas, he held international management positions at The Coca-Cola Co.

“His leadership, experience and proven track record in France make Maestrini a great choice to lead Latin America into the future,” Auschel said in a statement.

Pourcelot joined Adidas Group in October 2005 as marketing director for Adidas France and his latest role was brand director in France. Prior to Adidas, Pourcelot held roles in marketing and sales for Pernod-Ricard, a beverage company, and Accor Hotels.

“Pourcelot’s experience in the French market and his familiarity with our customers, consumers and the management team there make him an ideal selection to step into this new leadership role,” Auschel said in a statement.
