New York designers kicked off the fall ’12 runway season with a plethora of directional shoe styles. The collections were replete with chic new tough-girl boot silhouettes, as well as forward-looking pumps and fresh takes on classically feminine styles like the T-strap. The fall color palette emerged with a spotlight on shades of burgundy, mustard and hunter green, while embossed croc, woven leather, velvet and fur made a rich textural impression.
