Spring Preview: Naartjie

Naartjie is stepping out. The South African children’s clothing brand, which launched footwear in about 50 of its U.S. stores last fall, will begin wholesaling the collection for spring ’13, following a soft launch this fall exclusively at Bloomingdale’s. Produced under license by Hicksville, N.Y.-based Synclaire Brands, the colorful collection features casual styles for boys and girls, including printed canvas sneakers, skate shoes, ballerinas and embellished sandals. The shoes, priced from $16 to $40, will be available at Bloomingdale’s, select specialty stores, independents and e-tailers, as well as at Naartjie’s worldwide retail locations.
