Spring Preview: Alejandro Ingelmo

Always one for architectural forms, Alejandro Ingelmo was inspired by boomerangs for spring. “If you look at a lot of the patterns on the shoes, they’re all different plays off that shape,” he told Footwear News. “I love to do caged [looks] and styles with a lot of workmanship.” This season, Ingelmo updated pumps and d’Orsays with metallic touches and woven details, but New Age booties stood out in the collection. With sharp lines and intricate geometric cutouts, they offer futuristic options. The Alejandro Ingelmo spring collection will retail for $650 to $2,000 and be available at Barneys New York, Neiman Marcus, Harvey Nichols and other select retailers.
