Ugg Bows Paris Store
Ugg Australia is taking on the City of Lights. The brand recently debuted a flagship store in Paris, the first Ugg-branded store in France. The location stocks the full autumn/winter 2012 collections for women, men and children. “The [new store] is a true expression of Ugg as a global premium lifestyle brand, and we look forward to being a part of one of the top fashion cities in the world,” said Ugg brand President Connie Rishwain.

Kate Spade Preps Saturday Shop
Kate Spade is working for the weekend. The newly announced brand Kate Spade Saturday will include a full assortment of footwear, apparel and accessories. The brand will exclusively launch in Japan online in February 2013 on the brand’s Web site and at a Tokyo flagship store. The U.S. debut will follow for spring ’13, and it will move into Brazil in fall ’13. The retail space is being designed to appeal to the social side of consumers, with iPads placed throughout the shop, featuring blog content, campaign videos, marketing messages and user-generated images. New products will arrive at the store every Saturday. “Through ongoing research, we saw an opportunity in the market to engage a new customer base, one that aspires to be a part of the Kate Spade New York brand,” CEO Craig Leavitt said in a statement. “Kate Spade Saturday is born from the core values of Kate Spade New York but is realized in a new and exciting way for this younger consumer.”

Christian Dior Reopens Beverly Hills Boutique
After undergoing a redesign, Christian Dior is ready for its close-up in Beverly Hills. The 5,000-sq.-ft. space, which was originally opened in 1990, was renovated with five rooms on the first floor of the store, each dedicated to different products, including footwear. The ready-to-wear area was designed with a custom fireplace and seating area, while the mezzanine level features a VIP salon for private appointments. The format follows the design concept of Dior’s flagship in Paris, which combines 18th-century elements with a modern aesthetic.
