FlyingFlips Leaps Online
FlyingFlips on Tuesday took to the Web to launch its e-commerce site. The company hopes the site will spread its message of art and social giving through its FlipFlops for Good brand. The site allows artists and designers to submit their work, and then consumers vote on their favorite designs. The winning designs are then printed on flip-flops and sold. In addition, for each pair sold, a pair is donated to charity, through partner organizations such as Soles4Souls and Fundacion A. Jean Brugger, a nonprofit group based in Nicaragua. “Cracking open the first run of [FlipFlops for Good] symbolizes more than just getting product,” FlyingFlips founder Ivo Staiano said in a statement. “It means summer and adventure. It means we can start giving back and, most importantly, it represents a major milestone for the whole FlyingFlips team.”
