Rocky Brands is widening its global reach.
The Nelsonville-Ohio-based firm on Wednesday announced it had inked distribution agreements in Germany, Finland, United Arab Emirates, the U.K., and Russia.
“International growth is one of our strategic objectives and we have made great strides in the past year,” Rocky’s president of international sales Gary Adams said in a statement. “The fact that we increased our international sales in 2011 over 2010 is an indication that our brands have an audience across the world.”
The brand now has distribution in 47 countries, and plans are in the works to add more.
“We are actively seeking to develop strong relationships with additional international partners, with a focus on Asia and South America,” Adam said. “There are still large parts of the world where our brand can have a significant impact, and our plan is to create a strong presence in those markets where the economy is stable and there is an appetite for our brands and products.”
