A new commercial by Under Armour, to fete the brand’s Scent Control product collection, breaks today. To showcase the line, which hits stores in July, the brand tapped Lee Lakosky, a professional hunter who hosts “The Crush,” a show on the Outdoor Channel. “Science and innovation have always been the driving force behind the Under Armour brand,” Bryan Offutt, Under Armour’s director of marketing, said in a statement. “Our goal with the campaign is to educate hunters and provide them with the most state-of-the-art gear to help make them better and succeed in the field.” In addition, Under Armour will launch a print component of the campaign to hit outdoor publications this fall.
Stuart Weitzman is hosting a sweepstakes that will offer fans a chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree at the brand’s boutique on Fifth Avenue, followed by a visit to the showroom, where they will meet with the designer. “This sweepstakes is unique. It’s about delivering the Stuart Weitzman brand experience — from an in-store fitting to a guided showroom tour to meeting Stuart himself,” said Salima Popatia, SVP of e-commerce and digital strategy for the brand. The contest runs through July 2 on Stuartweitzman.com.
Consumers can now go deeper inside the Michael Kors lifestyle. The brand launched a digital series this week called “Living the Kors Life.” The online project highlights shopping videos as well as features on brand employees and new merchandise. “I have always loved seeing the way so many chic women with very different lives and styles wear my designs,” Michael Kors said in a statement. “I can say with certainty that no matter where I am in the world, my customers are a varied group, and they love to put their own spin on the pieces.”
Supra is teaming up with rapper and media sensation Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., known as Lil Wayne, for a new line of footwear. The collection, which Carter will design and Supra will manufacture, launches for spring ’13 and will debut at Project’s August tradeshow in Las Vegas.
