Lineapelle’s Trend Selection show in New York this week showcased upcoming spring ’13 colors and trends in leather, textiles and synthetics for shoes, accessories and leather apparel. Click through to see the four key color stories identified at the event.
LUCE focused on a pale palette with white undertones. Colors included straw yellow, camellia pink, pearl gray, stone and pale blue, all with both luminous and translucent qualities.
MUD draws inspiration from nature, evoking ancient civilizations. Colors were inspired by earth, stones, mud and wood bleached by water. Neutral tones look faded and bleached by the sun and exposure to the elements.
NOSTALGIE features summer darks with a vintage reference. They can be as transparent like glass or saturated like ceramics. Ruby red, garnet red, quartz brown, jade green and agate blue stand out in polished and shiny versions.
FESTIVAL DE LOS COLORES is all about brights used in graphic patterns that play off simple white. Yellow, cobalt blue and emerald green are combined for a color-blocking effect.
