The Italian brand is showcasing portions of founder Renzo Rossetti’s private collection of archived footwear. The selection of 31 styles tells the story of the brand’s history through its 59 years, and will be on display in stores there for the next two weeks.
Special events fêted the exhibits and featured an appearance by Asian film star Shawn Yue, as well as Diego, Dario and Luca Rossetti.
“My favorite group of the museum exhibition [shows] the invention of mannish style,” said Diego Rossetti, president of the company. “Fratelli Rossetti is known for its classic men’s shoes, so when we ventured into the women’s market our experience was our greatest asset. It was 1970, and women were looking to experience femininity in a new way.”
To further celebrate, the brand unveiled a limited-edition Asia style, a women’s three-tone laceup. The exhibition next stops in New York and Milan.
