Canadian designer John Fluevog, known for his offbeat approach to design, has just made it even easier to walk in a pair of his shoes — whether new or used.
The company recently unveiled FlueMarket, a feature on his website, where fans can buy, sell or swap a pair of new or used Fluevog shoes.
Stephen Bailey, marketing communications manager for the Vancouver, British Columbia-based company, said the goal was to encourage customers to recycle their Fluevogs. The firm also wanted to do its share for the planet by giving worn Fluevogs a second life, he added.
“People are buying new stuff all the time,” said Bailey. “We’re encouraging people to buy used things. We’re facilitating the ability to reuse and recycle Fluevogs.”
Prices are set by the sellers, and users can connect Craig’s List and eBay listings through the site.
