The Los Angeles-based retailer has collaborated with Converse to create the Undefeated for Converse Jack Purcell collection, as part of the Converse First String limited-edition, collaborative program.
The offering debuts on May 25 and adds a summer feel to the iconic Jack Purcell shoe. The looks will be sold at Undefeated stores and select Converse First String retailers around the world. A red version of the shoe will be sold exclusively at Undefeated stores.
“The Jack Purcell began as a humble badminton shoe, yet it has evolved to symbolize confidence, wit and style,” Converse GM of footwear Magnus Wedhammar said in a statement. “Likewise, Undefeated is rooted in sport and has come to represent its own brand of smart, refined street style that is recognized globally.”
The $55 shoes feature subtle differences from the classic design, with red and navy racing stripes along the rubber sole, and a terry-cloth lining and footbed.
“We were excited to work with Converse again and the Jack Purcell model for the first time,” Undefeated co-founder James Bond said in a statement. “We wanted to honor the original with minimal details to give [the shoes] just a touch of Undefeated attitude.”
