Industry insiders gathered in New York last week for a handful of A-list parties. On the opening night of the FFANY show, Titan Industries invited guests to its showroom to toast the launch of Cece L’Amour, designed by CEO Joe Ouaknine’s daughter Celine. The same night, Jimlar kicked off the opening of its first Frye store with a packed house. Company execs Jim and Larry Tarica made their way around the room, while Jamie Laycock, director of marketing creative for Frye, noted that the first week’s sales were strong.
On Wednesday, big names such as Bloomingdale’s Debbie King and Brown Shoe Co. Chairman Ron Fromm joined FFANY President Joe Moore for cocktails in the Hilton lobby. Two Ten’s WIFI group also hosted its second event for the New York chapter, with guest speaker Tina Aldatz, who talked about how determination, passion and experience helped her build Foot Petals into a global brand.
