Another “it” duo nailed footwear this week. Proenza Schouler’s Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez presented especially distinctive styles at their runway show Wednesday evening. Though not an uncommon triumph for the pair, the shoes continue to satisfy. The hand-painted platform wedge atop a block heel was a refreshing take on a classic spring style that peppered many runways this week, while the cutout leather slingback upper kept the style interesting but wearable. A standout shoe in it’s own right, the look blended well with Proenza Schouler’s most memorable pieces — tiger-striped suiting and dresses in a slew of floral prints.
