Danny Schwartz, CEO of Schwartz & Benjamin Inc., will receive the A.A. Bloom Award for his years of dedication and service to Two Ten.
Peggy Kim Meill — the outgoing president of Two Ten — will receive the T. Kenyon Holly award, the group’s highest honor for humanitarian achievement and philanthropic service.
“Both are certainly worthy of these great honors,” said Carol Baiocchi, VP and DMM of footwear at Kohl’s and chair of the Two Ten board. “Danny has for many years been very generous and participated greatly in Two Ten in regard to scholarship and fundraising. [Peggy] has set the tone for how this should be done.”
For her part, Meill said the award is a reflection of how far the organization has come in the past 10 years.
“Philanthropy, if you look back to the Latin root, means a compassion for humanity,” Meill said. “That is what the award means to me. I am powerfully touched.”
The event, chaired by Wesley Card, CEO of The Jones Group Inc., will be held at the New York Marriot Marquis in Times Square.
