Footwear charity Soles4Souls will add a new division on Monday.
Hope4Souls is the latest branch of the expanding organization, which launched Clothes4Souls last year. The new group will collect general product, including medical materials, toys and non-perishable food, for those in need.
The Nashville, Tenn.-based nonprofit has recently focused its efforts on aid to Japan in the wake of the earthquake and tsunami that hit there.
“We’re expanding our reach so that we can leverage our proven distribution channels and our diverse partner network to give individuals and communities suffering from extreme poverty and recovering from natural disasters the access they need to the resources necessary to build a better tomorrow,” said Wayne Elsey, founder and CEO of Soles4Souls.
Kevin Goughary, CFO and COO for Soles4Souls, has been named GM of the new division and will retain his role as CFO of Soles4Souls.
