Zappos.com prides itself on customer service, and it shows.
The e-tailer came out on top on the National Retail Federation Foundation and American Express’ Customers’ Choice survey, released Tuesday. The survey, conducted by BIGresearch, named the top 10 retailers, as voted by 9,200 shoppers.
Other notable stores on the list included Amazon.com at No. 2, JCPenney at No. 5, and Nordstrom at No. 8.
“In a time when many retailers are competing on price, customer service becomes an outstanding way to stand out in the eyes of the consumer,” said NRF Foundation Executive Director Kathy Mance. “These retailers have done a great job of distinguishing themselves from their competition.”
