Koolaburra is building its executive ranks.
The Santa Barbara, Calif.-based company on Monday announced it had named former Rockport president and Frye owner Stanley Kravetz as COO.
In his new role, Kravetz will oversee business development and global operations.
Kravetz most recently served as president and CEO of The Kravetz Group, which counted among its clients Coach, G.H. Bass, Gordon Rush, Kenneth Cole, New Balance, Polar Tec, Reebok, Rocky Brands and Sam Edelman. Kravetz has also held executive posts at Thorlo, Timberland, and was the owner and CEO of Frye, which he later sold to Jimlar Corp.
“I am extremely pleased to attract Stanley Kravetz to Koolaburra’s executive leadership team,” Koolaburra CEO Jeffrey Rawlings said in a statement. “We will benefit immensely from his experience, proven record of success and passion for the footwear industry.”
For his part, Kravetz said in a statement he is bullish on the brand’s future. “I’ve worked with Koolaburra as a client for about a year and when you look at the incredible lineup of innovative products and top retailers around the world who carry the brand, Koolaburra is poised to deliver over the next couple of years,” he said.
