Both companies ranked well on the FDRA’s Weekly Confidential Comparable Store Sales Survey throughout 2010. The survey represents more than 13,000 national stores and more than a dozen companies with retail locations. Clarks was singled out in as the 2010 Full Service Top Performer, while Kmart was named in the self-select category.
“While many of FDRA’s members showed strong and steady growth in 2010, Clarks and Kmart set the standard for sales throughout the year,” said Matt Priest, president of FDRA, in a written statement. “Both companies should be commended for this great honor, bestowed upon them by their peers.”
