Collective Brands continues to boost its profile overseas.

The company’s Performance & Lifestyle Group announced yesterday it has inked a series of new agreements that will further expand the retail distribution of several of its brands in key markets, including Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Spain.

Tokyo-based footwear retailer ABC-Mart has been tapped to reintroduce Saucony and Sperry Top-Sider across Japan. Saucony products will be available in specialty running shops next month, while Sperry will be distributed through fashion retailers beginning early next year. Both brands also will be sold in ABC-Mart’s own retail stores.

For the Singapore and Malaysia markets, Collective is partnering with Singapore-based RSH Ltd. for the Sperry Top-Sider, Keds and Saucony labels. Product will roll out early next year in leading retailers, as well as through RSH’s own wholesale channel.

Collective’s expansion in Spain will be led by Barcelona-based Sefonia Yourself SA, which currently distributes Sperry Top-Sider and has been managing the introduction of Sperry in the country for the past year. The Keds brand will be reintroduced in Spain in 2012 through a similar strategic approach, targeting the country’s top retail stores.

“We are thrilled to be announcing distribution agreements with these leading partners to expand the brand presence of Saucony, Sperry Top-Sider and Keds across these key international markets,” Gregg Ribatt, CEO of Collective’s PLG unit, said in a statement. “Teaming with the right strategic partner in each targeted market is critical to the successful international expansion of our brands.”
