Going into its second season, New York-based men’s brand J.Artola took inspiration from the beach, incorporating colors such as sand, clay and bark into sandals and “beach boots.” The 14-style spring line continues its focus on hand-sewn elements and unique details. Designer Jury Artola has developed a double-layer sole that is stitched on. “For me, it’s the look, and you don’t see it on the market,” he said. “I wanted to do something out of the ordinary and fun.” Artola has also introduced four sandal styles: a flip-flop, crisscross band, slide and fashion gladiator. Prices range from $195 for sandals to $295 for dress shoes and $395 for boots. The line is carried by Amazon.com, Endless.com and the Nos boutique in Brooklyn, N.Y.
