Jimmy Choo is going sporty. The London-based luxury brand, known for its sky-high stilettos, is launching a capsule collection of sneakers for fall ’10. The two-style offering — which comes in white, black, purple and beige — includes one low-top and one high-top style. Embellished with gold details, including a star-shaped eyelet, the sneakers feature patent leather, suede and exotic snakeskin uppers. The styles are set to retail between $495 and $565 at Jimmy Choo boutiques and Jimmychoo.com.
Valdini is crossing the border. The brand, which has been offered primarily in Canada for the last six years, is making the move to the U.S. market for fall ’10. The 30-style collection includes casual and dress boots in suede and soft leathers with weatherproof constructions. Priced between $90 and $200 at retail, the offering includes 24 styles for women and four for men and is being targeted at independents and better department stores.
Fly London is debuting a clothing line for fall ’10. The collection, which complements the brand’s footwear, takes inspiration from the Victorian era, as well as the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, and uses materials such as mohair, silk, nylon and acrylic. For the first season, 100 styles will debut in 250 different SKUs. With prices ranging from $70 to $500, the offering is being shopped to fashion-forward, independent boutiques.
