Under Armour President Departs

Under Armour said late Monday that David McCreight has resigned as president of the company, effective Aug. 20.

Kevin Plank, chairman and CEO of Under Armour, will assume the duties of president.

In a written statement, Plank lauded McCreight’s contributions to the company during his two-year tenure.

“Over the past few years, we have delivered strong results, developed a strategy and platform for driving future growth, and built a tremendous team of leaders to take Under Armour to the next level,” Plank said. “We are confident this will be a smooth transition, and I am excited about driving the Under Armour Brand forward around the world.”

McCreight joined the company in 2008, after a stint as president at Land’s End.
