The charitable brand is holding its third annual One Day Without Shoes campaign on April 8, to show how a pair of shoes can make a difference for a child.
In addition, Toms will host a barefoot walk on the Venice Beach Boardwalk in California that same day. The event is open to the public and may be reinterpreted by other communities around the world for the cause.
“We are excited for people to once again join us in One Day Without Shoes and raise awareness of the importance of shoes in areas where children have to walk barefoot every day,” Toms Shoes founder Blake Mycoskie said in a statement. “We ask people to go the day, part of the day or even just a few minutes barefoot to experience a life without shoes firsthand and to help spread awareness.”
