Crosno, who came on board in October 2008, will be joining Munro & Co., in Hot Springs, Ark., where he had previously served as national sales manager. (His new title has not been determined.)
“An opportunity came up that was right for me,” said Crosno, adding that he will remain at Mephisto until a replacement has been named.
While at Mephisto, Crosno helped streamline the U.S. business during the economic downturn and oversaw the launch of the Sano collection of health and wellness footwear.
Poe Launches HSN Line
Sheri Poe is back in the footwear spotlight.
The founder of Ryka has launched Poe Footwear by Sheri Poe, a line of comfort-based casual and lifestyle looks, which will be exclusive to the Home Shopping Network. The collection debuted during an hour-long segment on the network earlier this month.
“I wanted to make a collection that was fun and classic with built-in comfort features at price points affordable to everyone,” said Poe. “Women want shoes like these [that aren’t] too expensive.”
The line, also sold on HSN.com, retails from $49 to $69. Styles include ballet flats, Mary Jane looks and zip-front styles.
Poe, who currently serves as chief branding executive officer for Alegria, is partnering with that brand’s parent company, Peppergate Footwear, on the manufacturing side, while she will oversee design and marketing, as well as promote the line on HSN.
According to Poe, she has been eyeing the TV circuit for some time. “It’s a model I wanted to do for years,” she said. Future plans include other product categories, such as apparel and accessories, turning the footwear line into a lifestyle brand.
