MBT is banking on a new leader to help fuel its U.S. business.
The company — which has seen several executive shifts in the past few years — has named Mark Matheny to the post of interim president of MBT USA. Matheny was most recently VP of operations at MBT.
Paul Grimble, who had been over the MBT business since last July, has left the company.
MBT, which was a pioneer in wellness, has been facing increased competition in the category.
The company said its majority stakeholders, Klaus and Jami Heidegger, will be working closely with Matheny on U.S. initiatives.
