A pair of Fergie round-toe pumps, called Hope, were created exclusively for the gala and charitable shoe sale, set to be held on Oct. 13 and aired on QVC Oct. 15. The Fergie footwear brand is donating 1,000 pairs of the style to be sold on-air, and a limited number of additional pairs will be available online in October for $90.
The Grammy Award-winning singer also will be the Shoes on Sale spokesperson, appearing in a print and video ad campaign leading up to the event. Previous spokespersons have included Jessica Simpson and Reba McIntyre.
HSN Inc. announced Monday it would debut a second 24-hour television shopping channel on Aug. 1.
The St. Petersburg, Fla.-based retailer said the new channel — on the Dish Network — would feature encore airings of HSN’s shows. It also will serve as a platform to test ideas and develop new business opportunities for the company, according to a written release.
“We are excited to launch HSN2 and provide our customers greater access to additional viewing and shopping options,” Mindy Grossman, CEO of HSN Inc., said in a release. “With different personalities, great brands and products airing simultaneously on each of our channels, customers will enjoy twice the entertainment, inspiration and discoveries.”
HSN sells such footwear brands as Sam Edelman, Earth, Vince Camuto and many others.
