Marc Fisher Footwear has recruited Tina Langley from Seventeen magazine as its fashion director of brands.
The former senior accessories editor steps into the newly created role on Oct. 25. She will work directly with the product teams of all the Fisher brands, including Guess, G by Guess, Guess by Marciano, Marc Fisher and Ivanka Trump, and will advise on trend forecasting and brand direction.
“She’ll be giving input on all aspects of product development, from color and material suggestions to runway summaries and street style reports,” said a spokesperson for Marc Fisher. “With her background, we’re confident that she knows each of our different customers and what they want to wear.”
Prior to Seventeen, Langley was an associate market and accessories editor at Nylon magazine.
Trade show organizer ENK International has hired John Ruffo as EVP of the ENK Footwear Group.
According to a statement by ENK Footwear Group President David Kahan, Ruffo will be charged with galvanizing the company’s “efforts for the WSA Show in Las Vegas and [creating] a sales and exhibitor support team to provide our customers with a great show experience.”
Ruffo, who has a background in retail and most recently helped establish FN Platform at Magic, will also be tasked with expanding the Sole Commerce trade show. He will be based out of the Los Angeles office, where he will lead the WSA sales team.
“[Ruffo’s] vast footwear experience in retail, wholesale and on the trade show side, makes him a great asset to our team,” said Kahan. “Our objective is to create the best footwear show, for the footwear industry, managed by footwear ‘insiders,’ and John is an insider.”
