Last month, the company announced that former president Bob Infantino would step down effective Jan. 31 after more than 15 years with the brand.
“It will be business as usual,” said Salzano. “Bob was so great at putting teams together that we will maintain the [same] culture and I don’t think customers will see any difference in the interim period.”
The search for a permanent replacement is currently underway – the company is looking at both internal and external candidates to fill the position. Salzano said the team is looking for a candidate who is able to “manage brands in multinational channels.”
As part of Salzano’s temporary role, he will work closely with the senior U.K. leadership team.
Looking ahead to 2011, Salzano is confident about the brand’s prospects.
“Business is great and we’re looking forward to another great year,” he said.
