The Camuto Group is beefing up its ranks.
Industry veteran Sophie Rietdyk has been named as the firm’s president of the licensing and international businesses to drive expansion at the Greenwich, Conn.-based firm. Rietdyk will take on the role beginning today.
“I am really excited to help build the brands in the [Camuto Group] portfolio, as well as develop the international markets,” she said in a statement. “[The brand offers] exciting initiatives full of great potential.”
Rietdyk, who will report to Camuto President Bob Galvin, has worked as the president of international licensing for BCBG Max Azria and was most recently the VP of global licensing, acquisitions and strategic planning for Bebe Stores Inc.
In addition to owning the Vince Camuto and Arturo Chiang brands, the Camuto Group is the master licensee for the Jessica Simpson Collection and creates footwear for BCBGeneration, BCBG Max Azria, Lucky Brand and Kensiegirl. The company’s portfolio also includes design and sourcing for Tory Burch footwear, as well as a partnership with apparel brand Sanctuary.
