Irvine, Calif.-based athletic brand Asics America Corp. has appointed Kevin Wulff to the position of COO.
Wulff replaces current Asics COO and President Rich Bourne, who will remain as president until Feb. 1, 2011. Wulff, former CEO of San Diego-based Pony, will also transition to Asics president when Bourne retires next year.
“I am excited to take on this great opportunity,” Wulff said in a written statement released Tuesday. “With my past experiences of working in both North and South American regions, I look forward to building upon the current Asics momentum and to achieve the company’s ambitious brand and business goals for the future.”
Prior to serving as president of Pony, Wulff was president and CEO of American Sporting Goods and also spent 10 years at Nike.
