Athletic brand Zoot Sports, a maker of multisport performance apparel, footwear and wetsuits, made the announcement in a statement released on Thursday, though terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Robert Marcovitch, CEO of K2 Sports, said that Zoot Sports would continue to focus on growth and expansion into new product categories and geographies.
“We are excited to enter a new chapter in our company’s history,” Brian Enge, CEO of Zoot Sports, said in the statement. “And we will only benefit from the ability to tap into a best-in-class partner with strong operating capabilities and a similar commitment to quality and innovation.”
Zoot Sports will continue to be based in Southern California under its existing leadership.
