Two Ten Revamps Footwear Job Site

Two Ten Footwear Foundation is rolling out a new way to help footwear industry insiders: a revamped and relaunched career Website.

Soft launched earlier this month in advance of its formal FFANY debut, will allow job seekers to create profiles, post resumes and sign up for automatic updates. Companies also can create profiles, search resumes and post jobs.

“[Use of the site will be] 100 percent free for both parties,” Ross Evans, Two Ten’s VP of marketing and community initiatives, told Footwear News. “For us, it’s paramount to what we do.”

Eventually, Evans said, the Waltham, Mass.-based organization hopes to have between 200 and 300 company profiles on the site, with a focus on U.S.-based jobs. Developed in conjunction with the Shoe and Accessory Travelers Association, the new site will replace the existing job boards on both the Two Ten and SATA Websites.

Evans said the site, which has been in development since October, is going live at a key moment. “This will be a better resource,” he said. “Nobody predicted the current economic situation, but it has made [the launch] much more timely.”
