The National Shoe Retailers Association is moving to the Southwest.
The organization announced Tuesday that by March 2010 it will relocate its offices from Columbia, Md., to Tucson, Ariz., the hometown of NSRA Chairman Alan Miklofsky.
“I am pleased that my fellow board members have confidence in me to execute this critical undertaking,” Miklofsky said in a statement. Miklofsky himself will now be charged with hiring staff and setting up the new office.
“We will look first to making sure there is no interruption of service in our ongoing effort to serve all our members as efficiently, economically and on as timely a basis as possible,” Miklofsky added.
NSRA President Chuck Schuyler will continue to serve the association.
