As part of the multiyear deal, Querrey will also assist with the design process, collaborating with K-Swiss to create new performance product. He is currently ranked 24th in the world and is the second-highest ranked American player in the top 50, behind Andy Roddick. In August, he took the title at the Tennis Open in Los Angeles, bringing home his second ATP title.
“Sam is going to be a big part of our brand, nationally and internationally,” Erik Vervloet, K-Swiss Sports marketing director, said in a statement. “Not only is he a terrific kid with a huge game, but he also embodies the spirit of K-Swiss’ California sports heritage. We look forward to having Sam with K-Swiss for the remainder of his career.”
Querrey will officially join the roster — which already includes American player Mardy Fish — in January 2010.
