Stratham, N.H.-based Timberland has recruited an entertainment exec to head up its marketing division.
Jim Davey, formerly SVP of global marketing, planning and retail development for Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products, will now serve as Timberland’s VP of global marketing and report to chief brand officer Mike Harrison. Davy replaces Carol Yang, who will assist in the transition before leaving the company in October.
“I am very pleased to have such a creative and accomplished marketer joining us as we continue the passionate pursuit of making Timberland the most famous outdoor brand on earth,” Mike Harrison said in a statement. “I’m excited to add Jim’s talent and experience to our organization and look forward to his ideas for taking our brand even further.”
Stylesight Debuts Spanish Version of Website
New York-based trend analysis and forecasting service Stylesight has launched a Spanish version of the business and now offers content at Stylesight.com, global webinars and newsletters entirely in Spanish.
“Translating the site into the Spanish language addresses a direct need of professionals in a previously underserved market,” said Frank Bober, founder and CEO in a statement. “With English, Chinese and Spanish fully translated, we now cover 80 percent of the world’s languages.”
The company, which has offices in various cities across the globe, including Paris, Melbourne, Hong Kong and Sao Paulo, plans to translate its services and product development tools to additional languages in the future.
