H.H. Brown Shoe Co. announced Wednesday it purchased comfort sandal brand Kork-Ease and will relocate the business from Houston to the H.H. Brown headquarters in Greenwich, Conn.
Tom McClaskie, president of H.H. Brown’s Born Shoe division, will oversee the design of the brand, which will include an expanded offering of multi-season product going forward. The new collection will debut at the FFANY show this June in New York.
“We will build the Kork-Ease brand using the proven distribution and marketing models that led to the success of the Born and Sofft brands at retail,” Jim Issler, president and CEO of H.H. Brown, said in a statement.
