END Footwear Line Discontinued

Portland, Ore.-based LaCrosse Footwear Inc. announced Friday it has discontinued the END Footwear brand.

LaCrosse purchased the brand’s footwear assets in May for $500,000 with the intention of further growing the brand and expanding its distribution.

According to a statement released Friday, all END’s sustainable technologies and unique, lightweight footwear designs will be integrated into the company’s LaCrosse and Danner product lines for fall ’10.

The company said it does not anticipate incurring any material expenses associated with the closure.
