“We never doubted Berlin as a location,” Karl-Heinz Müller, managing director of Bread & Butter, said in a release. “After the relocation of [the show] to Barcelona, the company kept its headquarters in Berlin for a reason.”
Beginning with the July edition, the event will be held at Berlin’s historical airport, Berlin-Tempelhof. “Here, we have the possibility to completely redefine and newly position Bread & Butter,” said Müller. “[The airport] is an architectural jewel and a location of international and historic meaning.” The facility, which closed last October, will be rebuilt in time to accommodate the show.
Müller said the early positioning of the show, July 1-3, would be a big attraction for attendees and brands.
