Two Ten Goes Global

NEW YORK — Two Ten Footwear Foundation is stretching its philanthropic reach globally by teaming up with Milan-based publishing house and design school Ars Arpel Group.

On Tuesday, the Waltham, Mass.-based nonprofit announced the launch of the Ars Sutoria Scholarship, which, under the backing of Ars Arpel Group, will cover tuition and housing for one American-based footwear product developer to study footwear supply and production processes in Milan for three weeks.

Since 1947, the Ars Sutoria school has been organizing training courses in technical design and pattern drafting of footwear, as well as short-term courses in leather goods. Ars Sutoria’s roster of alumni are employed by brands such as Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, Bally, Brown Shoe, Clarks, Ecco, Kenneth Cole, Nine West and Wolverine World Wide.
