Payless Fights Breast Cancer

NEW YORK — In support of its fifth-annual Taking Steps to Fight Breast Cancer program, Payless ShoeSource announced on Wednesday that the company will be offering a limited-edition slip-knot charm bracelet for sale at all Payless stores and on Payless.com this October. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the $2 sale will go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation.

The 2008 bracelet is designed in a pink stretch cord and is adorned with a metal charm featuring the breast cancer awareness ribbon and “2008” engraved on the back.

“The popularity of last year’s slip-knot bracelet spurred us to bring back the item for 2008,” said Payless President and CEO LuAnn Via.

Through the Taking Steps to Fight Breast Cancer program, Payless has been able to raise more than $2 million for the cause.
